The vision for Georgia Worship Choir began when the Lord placed an idea in the mind and spirit of Founder and Director, Dean Oliver.
It’s time to do something.
As a veteran music minister and worship leader with a strong passion for choirs, he was excited by God's vision to take choral worship beyond the walls of the church.
Choral worship is part of God’s Kingdom, and it’s a call to active participation in giving Him praise like we will experience together in the future –
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’
“And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, ‘Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.’” - Revelation 7:9-12
Revive the Choral Worship Experience.
As we continue to see a decline in choral worship in churches across the state of Georgia and the US, the need to keep this special form of worship alive was obvious. So, the Georgia Worship Choir was born in 2021.
Today, this ministry is a growing community choir of diverse Christians who are united by their common love for Jesus, and who are passionate about creating worship experiences that inspire people to draw closer to Him. People of like-minded belief in the power of choral worship and praise are coming together with one goal: to proclaim the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
